The farm and the history
Agriturismo Pomantello is an ancient stone farmhouse restored with the principles of bioarchitecture, nestled in the green hills of Orvieto, located on the border of Umbria and Tuscany, on a hill offering a spectacular view of the Paglia Valley and the picturesque medieval village of Torre Alfina.
The Agriturismo
The mild climate and the wonderful landscape create the perfect environment for rest and relaxation.
Agriturismo is managed by an Italian-German couple, Fabrizio and Monika, in a family-friendly manner. Since the beginning of its activity in 1980, organic farming has been practiced, and since 1985, Agriturismo has been promoting sustainable tourism: Solar panels provide hot water, photovoltaics generate electricity, and rainwater is collected in tanks.
Style and Nature
The reception in the six apartments is very comfortable: each one carefully and passionately restored in every detail; each is balanced in its particularity and furnishings. All have a rustic style with terracotta floors, ceilings with chestnut or oak beams, some antique furniture, and paintings or frescoes by local artists.
Three donkeys, rabbits, chickens, a cat, and three dogs emphasize the idyllic atmosphere of this establishment.
On the hill, there is a playground for children with a wooden playhouse, swings, slides, sandpit, and table tennis. In the natural and artistic garden, you can find small resting spots with fountains, grape pergolas, and terraces with sun loungers and umbrellas.
The environment is created to enjoy nature in relaxation. In each apartment, there is a book with itineraries to discover the beauties of the territory.
